Kaffe

Kaffe is a clean room implementation of the Java virtual machine, plus the associated class libraries needed to provide a Java runtime environment. The Kaffe virtual machine is free software, licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

At one point Kaffe was functional on RTEMS. The following message is an early dialog between the porter and the Kaffe maintainers.

The RTEMS Project has lost contact with the person who did the port. Even if the port is incomplete, it should be relatively painless to update it to a functional status.
