RTEMS vs. egcs-1.1a

Since I started this thread, I thought I'd better mention what I've found:

The enclosed script works.   It's a small modification of the old  
`bit' script.

It configures, builds and installs all the tools, but I have to  
manually copy newlib-1.8.0/newlib/libc/sys/rtems/include/limits.h
to
$INSTALL_POINT/m68k-rtems/include/limits.h
